Rich is a Harvard-educated physician executive, serial entrepreneur, Veteran U.S. Naval Officer, and award-winning filmmaker, writing and producing films for Sony and Lionsgate Entertainment. He also currently works with the Harvard Medical School to interview and assess high-achieving physician candidates applying to their Master of Science in Healthcare Quality and Safety Program, the same program from which he graduated.
Whether it's one-on-one or in the context of a formal workgroup, he thrives on coaching and serving as an agent of change. He has a proven ability to build, inspire, and empower agile teams to work hard, have fun, and achieve lofty goals. As a servant leader, he strives to lead with empathy, transparency, and authenticity and finds his bliss when immersed in diverse, dynamic teams, camaraderie, and creative problem-solving.
He’s grateful to have balanced careers in medicine, executive leadership, and filmmaking, and thrives as a lifelong learner, holding multiple master’s and doctorate degrees in medicine, public health, business, operational leadership, and film & TV from several universities, including the Harvard Medical School, USC Keck School of Medicine, and Mount Saint Mary's University Los Angeles.
