Premise: fifteen year-old Alejandro Duran, who comes from a religious Latino family, aspires to one day be a Catholic priest. But when Alex discovers a mysterious box he unwittingly unleashes a demonic spirit bent on possessing him. Alex must find a way to defeat this ancient demon, which has been tormenting children since the dawn of man, before it destroys him and everyone he loves. On the surface Devil's Whisper is a supernatural horror film about demonic possession but at its core it's a psychological thriller about repressed memories, childhood trauma and the cycle of abuse.

HOURGLASS

HOURGLASS is the 1st Place Winner of the 20th Indie Gathering International Film Festival--Short Sci-fi 2015.

Written, produced, and directed by Richard Handley, HOURGLASS is the story of Air Force test pilot, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Matthews. Col Matthews lays fast asleep, face down in the dirt, when he is awakened by a strangely marked tarantula in the vast and mysterious expanse of desert known as “Area 51.”  He has no idea how or why he arrived there.

HOURGLASS stars Brace Harris (The Gunfighter, one of the best comedy shorts ever produced) and Angela DeGrazia (The Black String).  The film is a surreal and tragic exploration of self-delusion, -denial, and suppressed memories. The film touches on questions of whether or not we are alone in the cosmos. It considers there may be alternate realities within the fabric of the universe, either genuine or perceived. Col Matthews finds himself trapped within the crossroads of space, time, alcohol addiction, spiritual bankruptcy, and psychological torment. Through his own unwillingness to face his demons he will lose everything he cares about and find himself in a perpetual, personal hell from which there is no escape.
